Here's How Many Are Still Without Power After Damaging Storm Slams Fairfield County

Many Fairfield County residents are still without power a day after thunderstorms rocked the region, taking down trees and power lines.

As of 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, Eversource was still working to restore power to 9,090 of its 1,279,556 Connecticut customers, while United Illuminating was reporting just six outages, with just one in Fairfield County.

In Fairfield County, outages were still being reported in:

  • Redding: (283);
  • Newtown: (197);
  • Greenwich: (149);
  • Stamford: (74);
  • Danbury: (59);
  • Wilton: (51);
  • Brookfield: (43);
  • New Canaan: (23);
  • Ridgefield: (22);
  • Westport: (19)
  • Weston: (13);
  • Norwalk: (12);
  • Darien: (11).

“Eversource crews are working non-stop restoring power after Monday’s fierce wind storm, while complying with the energy company’s stringent COVID-19 pandemic protocols to safeguard the health and well-being of employees and customers,” the company said. “The storm’s drenching rain and powerful winds caused extensive damage throughout Connecticut.”
